Über den Song sagt Caroline: “Originally, I started writing this song about missing a particular someone I used to be in a relationship with and wondering where they were in life now. But in the middle of writing it, I got a call from my friend about a new relationship that particular person as in and it took on a whole new meaning. Interestingly, the news kinda woke me up from being in my head about things and allowed me to see the past for what it really was and move on from it.”
