AUch für den Songwriter und DIY Künstler Cody Brougham aka underlay neigt sich das Jahr dem Ende entgegen. Vorher möchte er uns noch eine weitere Kostprobe aus seiner neuen EP vorstellen. ‚Familiy Lines‘ ist die letzte Single, bevor die Platte am 2. Februar erscheinen wird. Sein Sound und sein Style machen einfach Spaß, es gibt so viel zu entdecken, er selbst nennt diesen Stil ‚Nervous Pop‘. Und das trifft es ganz gut.

Über ‚Family Lines‘ sagt Cody folgendes: „I wrote this song about meeting my partner and the first stages of us knowing each other. We’d both gotten out of pretty serious relationships and it was my first time “dating”, and both of us were trying to keep things casual but knowing full well that we weren’t those types of people. I wanted to write about that Mexican standoff kind of feeling of both of us not wanting to be the first person to crack and admit how we really felt.“
