Wie aus dem Nichts hat uns Lisa Li-Lund um den Finger gewickelt und uns den Kopf verdreht. Das hat sie mit ihrem Songwriting schon geschafft, denn es gibt so viele schöne Zeilen in ihrer neuen Single ‚Reverse Waterfall‘.

Lisa Li-Lund über ihren neuen Song: “‘Reverse Waterfall’ is the first song I wrote for the album. It was during the first COVID lockdown in Paris. I wanted to create a track with a catchy melody that, once heard, lingers gently in your mind—when you’re cycling against the wind, washing your hair in a lake, thinking, and feeling free. One day, someone I loved asked me what animal I would like to be if I weren’thuman. I said I wouldn’t want to be an animal, but rather a waterfall because a waterfall can sustain life, hide you, shelter you, but also crush you if you’re not careful. With ‘Reverse Waterfall’ I wanted listeners to feel the tension between chaos and calm, like a river flowing backward. This was also the first song I played for Nicolas Michaux and the Soldiers Of Love when I visited their studio, The Free House, in Brussels to introduce them to the tracks I wanted to record with them. We ended up recording it right the and there instead of just rehearsing it. That’s when we knew we were going to make an album that would mostly be recorded live.”
