Zwischen 2001 und 2017 hat die New Yorker Indie Rock Band Zerobridge zahlreiche Songs und Alben veröffentlich. Nach über 10 Jahren Bandgeschichte war dann Schluss. Die Brüder Mubashir Mohi-ud-Din (aka „Din“-songwriter, lead singer, guitar) und Mohsin Mohi-ud-Din (drums) waren Gründungsmitglieder und für einen Herzenssong finden sie sich wieder zusammen.

„“Refugee Citizen” was recorded in July 2024, during the 9th month of genocide in Gaza. Originally written and released independently by Zerobridge a little over 20 years ago, the new recording reunites its core members, brothers Din and Mohsin, and features new arrangements, an uncompromising sonic aggression, and most of all, the heroic voices of Palestinian aid workers and youth living in Gaza in March 2024, during the 6th month of genocide. Our hope with releasing this song is for it to bear witness to the genocide and call the world’s attention to the humanity and stories of the people in Gaza and the West Bank, Palestine, may they not be erased.“ – Zerobridge
